The Dividend Investing Blog

The first step in this process is to make blogging as easy as possible for me. You see I am one of those people that starts running at a new project 110 mph only to let it fade away the next week. So if we start with the premise that I am going to be a complete failure at updating this blog, then we have nowhere to go but up (or sideways).

I have installed a new program on my Macbook called ecto. I have never used a desktop blogging client before but from what I hear it is supposed to encourage more frequent blogging and cure diseases. Hopefully it will do at least one of the two. This is my first post from ecto. Hooray!

So I have decided to start my own Dividend Investing blog. Having spent the last ten years or so reading different books and trying different investment styles, I believe my tastes lean towards high yield dividend stocks. Do I know all there is to know about investing in high yield dividend stocks? Definitely not. I want this blog to serve as a learning experience for myself and anyone else that cares to follow. I plan to start by reviewing books I have read or that I am currently reading to determine what makes a great high yield dividend investment. The book that I am currently reading is The Single Best Investment: Creating Wealth with Dividend Growth by Lowell Miller.
