Clawing Our Way Back (Week 7)

ClawThe Thoroughbred Folio  will not give up the fight.  After weeks of beatings, we have almost pulled back even.  We also received a couple of nice surprises last week.  Keep on reading to find out which of our Folio members threw us some dough.

The market has continued to show improvement.  The big announcement by Microsoft really had the market buzzing last Friday.  However our Folio was buzzing to the tune of two stocks.  BB&T Corp (BBT) donated $1.05 to the cause while Wrigley (WWY) coughed up $0.36.  That makes six different companies that have given the Folio distributions through the first seven weeks.

There was no change at the top this week as Synovus, KeyCorp, and VF Corp continue to lead the pack.  The back of the pack still finds Total System Services lagging all the others.  Automated Data Processing slipped one spot this week, while we have a new entrant in the bottom three.  I think perhaps Pepsico spent too much on Super Bowl advertising this year.  It will be interesting to see how their promotion with Amazon MP3 pans out.
