I worked a bit on the site today. I made three significant changes that are worth noting.
First, we have a new logo. It’s just a percentage sign with a slight Web 2.0 reflection. I just had not found the time to work on the site since putting it up. Gimp is an amazing free tool.
Second, I widened the layout by 50 pixels. I felt the site was just too narrow. This change was quite the challenge and took the longest time to implement. I like the new width much better.
Lastly, I took the 250×250 Adsense ad off the main posts page. I elected to put two banners instead. The 250×250 ad was took up too much space and didn’t feel right to me. I have put it in the single posts and it seems to flow better there.
I have finished reading The Single Best Investment and I will have the review up tomorrow.
